Microsoft Pricing
Ultima is highly flexible in the provision of pricing information and very willing to commit to supply a customized electronic price list in a customer’s chosen format on the 1st business day of each month. Any dramatic price changes will also be communicated in writing at least 14 business days before they take effect. Contract levels within the Select and Enterprise schemes will be discussed and suggestions made, based upon your forecast software license requirements of SA (Software Assurance).
Microsoft Reporting
Ultima commits to provide customers with detailed information on current license consumption levels, in comparison with forecasts made to Microsoft. These License Logic reports can be provided on a monthly basis according to pre-agreed requirements, or can be provided on an ad-hoc basis as required. This helps ensure that customers remain on the same discounts bands within the Select scheme, and allows them to monitor their purchases in order to ensure compliance within the Select and Enterprise agreements.
Microsoft Order Processing
The Processing of Select and Enterprise license orders is fully managed by the Software Licensing Team – by the same group that is involved with the day-to-day support of customers’ contacts who place the orders. This provides many obvious benefits, including:
- Accuracy of orders – License orders will only ever be processed if they are applicable to the customer’s contract. When errors or mistakes are spotted, this information will be queried within 24 hours of the order entering the Ultima system. Order confirmations are sent where no physical deliverable exists.
- Account Knowledge – this enables the licensing team to spot inappropriate orders (for example, if a customer with an Enterprise Agreement ordering Terminal Services CALs – if this agreement was in place before the release of Terminal Server 2003 they would not need to purchase these separately.)
