Login Performance

Using “Asynchronous” processing, Profile Virtualisation tools will execute non-critical commands in the background, such as printer mappings, file operations and slow network drives. This means the desktop loads significantly faster, and users spend less time idly watching their system load. The administrator can control what must be configured before the shell loads and what can load in the background and in how many threads

Simplified Administration

With an intuitive and easy to understand custom scripting language, which reads like plain English, uLogon makes user environment control and maintenance a simple process for all system administrators. It is fast and simple to test new configurations for a sub-set of users, reducing the risk of introducing new features.

Hybrid Profiles

Profile Virtualisation stores user profile data (such as OS appearance and application settings) into hybrid chunks of data which are more resilient than traditional roaming profile data, thus reducing the risk of corruption. This profile data can be loaded or saved using flexible condition logic, allowing only relevant profile data to be loaded. This provides advanced capabilities such as sharing Microsoft Office settings between different Operating Systems (e.g. XP, Windows 7 and Terminal Services) whilst keeping OS desktop settings separate. Migrating between different application versions (e.g. Office 2003 to Office 2010) is also made simple as uLogon can keep the settings for each application version separate, loading only those settings relevant for the computer the user is using. Administrators can easily reset specific components of a user's profile (e.g. a particular application's settings) or revert them back to an older time, since uLogon maintains multiple backups of the user's profile
