WAN Connectivity
How an organisation chooses to connect their local area network
(LAN) to the outside world is a vital link in the corporate communication
chain. Loss of connectivity, or 'downtime', across a corporate WAN
can result in immeasurable costs, in terms of both productivity
and financial losses.
Organisations can also suffer if the deployed connectivity technology
does not deliver the performance that is needed. An Internet Service
Provider (ISP) must be selected that delivers those service levels
that the corporate requires in order to meet the needs of its business.
Ultima can help organisations choose an appropriate ISP (such
as BT or MCI) and
define which connectivity infrastructure to use, e.g. ADSL, ISDN
and Frame Relay. Ultima uses market-leading Cisco
routers in its solutions and our consultants are experienced in
all aspects of the design, installation, configuration and support.
